8th Pay Commission Salary Calculator for Jammu & Kashmir Employees

Hello Friends, the Union Cabinet approved the formation of the 8th Pay Commission. The Commission is tasked to revise the salaries, pensions, and allowances of central government employees and pensioners, with implementation expected by January 1, 2026.

In April 2018, the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) government became the first state to implement the 7th Pay Commission’s recommendations, which benefited the employees and pensioners of Jammu and Kashmir. In this regard, vide SRO-193 dated 24th of April, 2018, the Jammu & Kashmir Civil Services (Revised) Pay Rules, 2018 come into force on the 1st of January, 2016 with effective date of implementation from 1st of April, 2018.

Given the precedent set in 2018, it will be plausible that J&K will consider implementing the 8th Pay Commission’s recommendations to maintain parity with central government employees.
